    There are two types of residencies: Orientation and Networking 住院医生实习期 and Capstone 住院医生实习期

    Orientation and Networking (ON) 住院医生实习期

    The first is the Orientation and Networking (ON) 住院医生实习期 is a 2½-day on-site residency held on the Thursday, 星期五, and Saturday prior to the start of each semester (Fall, 春天, 和夏天).  This residency is not worth credit hours, but is nonetheless a vital contributor to a student’s success in the EMBA program.  Newly admitted EMBA students are expected to attend the ON 住院医生实习期 scheduled at the beginning of their first semester and are welcome to join us for other ON Residencies to continue building and fostering relationships with students and professors.

    Capstone 住院医生实习期

    The Capstone 住院医生实习期 is a 2½-day on-site residency held during the last week of BUSI-700 Business Strategy course.  This capstone MBA course is designed to integrate the functional areas of business: 会计, 金融, 管理, 和市场营销. Patterned after the method of the Harvard Business School, this case-oriented course draws on readings, 组分析, 书面报告, panel discussions, and oral presentations. Attendance is required and part of the grade for BUSI-700.

    During this residency, students will engage with their peers, 教师, and special guests to finalize their EMBA requirements.  In addition to activities and events such as 研讨会, 研讨会, guest presentations, 和更多的, students will also present their capstone project.

    The $150 fee collected each semester is used to fund residencies. Venue and materials for activities/events and meals will be provided by the WVWC MBA Program.  学生 are responsible for transportation to and from residencies as well as overnight lodging during residencies

  • Credit Hours and Courses

    The Executive MBA program comprises 12 total courses for 36 hours of credit. Student may complete the program in just 12 months or can extend the program for 18 to 24 months by taking fewer courses at a time at a slower pace.

    All students are required to take eight core classes that cover primary business concepts such as data analysis, 经济学, 金融, 会计, 道德, 管理, 和市场营销. The capstone course integrates all functional areas into a comprehensive strategic plan for an organization.

    The remaining four courses allow students to specialize in a certain discipline by selecting one of the four concentrations available: 领导, Healthcare Administration, Nonprofit Management, or Human Resource Management. A student also has the option to select from the variety of elective courses to earn a Standard MBA which is broader 和更多的 generalized.
